Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of hosting, infrastructure, and related managed services provided by BetaBoxTS, including services offered under our HostPhenix brand. It applies to every customer and to every user a customer allows to access our services. By using our services, you agree to this AUP.

2. Illegal and Fraudulent Use

Our services may not be used to engage in, promote, or facilitate any activity that violates applicable law, including fraud, phishing, identity theft, distribution of illegal content, gambling where prohibited, or the sale of illegal goods or services.

3. Security Violations

You may not use our services to compromise the security of any network, system, or account. Prohibited activities include:

  • Unauthorized access, penetration testing without written authorization, or credential harvesting;
  • Distribution of malware, ransomware, viruses, or other harmful code;
  • Interception of data or traffic not intended for you;
  • Operating command-and-control infrastructure, botnets, or open proxies/relays used for abuse.

4. Email and Messaging Abuse

Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam), operating open mail relays, forging message headers, or sending messages with deceptive origins is prohibited. Commercial email sent from our infrastructure must comply with CAN-SPAM and similar laws, including honoring opt-out requests.

5. Network Abuse

You may not conduct denial-of-service attacks, port scanning of third-party systems without authorization, IP spoofing, or any activity that disrupts or degrades our network or the networks of others.

6. Prohibited Content

Content hosted on our services may not include child sexual abuse material (which will be reported to authorities), content that infringes intellectual property rights, defamatory or unlawfully harassing material, or content that violates the privacy or publicity rights of others. Copyright complaints are handled under our DMCA Policy.

7. Resource Usage

Customers must use shared resources responsibly. Sustained excessive consumption of CPU, memory, storage, or bandwidth that degrades service for others, cryptocurrency mining on shared infrastructure, and use of hosting accounts primarily as backup or file-distribution repositories (unless purchased for that purpose) are prohibited. We may work with you to move high-demand workloads to an appropriate plan.

8. Responsibility for Your Users

Customers are responsible for the activity of their employees, contractors, resellers, and end users on our services. If a third party uses your account in violation of this AUP, we will treat the violation as yours. You should maintain reasonable security over your credentials and applications, and keep software you deploy up to date.

9. Reporting Abuse

To report abuse originating from our network or services, email contact@betaboxts.com with the subject line “Abuse Report” and include relevant details such as URLs, IP addresses, timestamps, and log excerpts. You may also call (931) 355-7256 or write to BetaBoxTS, 1386 Ambleside Dr, Clarksville, TN 37040. We review all reports and act on verified abuse promptly.

10. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and, at our discretion, remove content, suspend, or terminate services that violate this AUP. Where practical we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue, but we may act immediately and without notice when a violation threatens the security or stability of our network, other customers, or third parties, or where required by law. We may also report unlawful activity to law enforcement.

11. Changes and Contact

We may revise this AUP from time to time; the date above reflects the most recent revision, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Questions about this AUP can be sent to contact@betaboxts.com.
